With JCRR we have one of the most dedicated rally track modders in the Milky Way: the effort put into re-creating roads, objects and authentic textures speaks volumes about his passion about rallying and track creation. If you want to follow what JCRR is working on: link
Most tracks are in Corse and the Cévennes. All 4 currently available Cévennes stages were originally crafted by JCRR as mods for GT Legends. Peyregrosse-Mandagout was converted to RBR by another modder, then converted again to AC by Simtraxx. Quite some original detail got lost in translation.
The other 3 Cévennes stages are sections from the huge 41km “Ronde Cevenole” track mod. Col des Mourèzes and Puech Arnal were experimentally converted by JCRR himself. Graphics quality is not at the level of his more recent Corse stages but they are great stages nonetheless. For better looks the advice is to set the time to around 10:30 or 17:00, optionally with light fog.
The last one is the “Ronde Cevenole” that can be found on RallyGRB, but this is actually only a section of the real Ronde that was first converted to RFactor2 by JCRR and called “Descente du Minier 2”. This was further converted to AC by “GR.Team”, but without authorisation or even mentioning the original author, and named “Ronde Cevenole”. The quality of this conversion is not so great and I find the way RallyGRB goes about hard to understand. With the agreement of JCRR it’s included here anyway so we all can explore this section.

Classic Mont Ventoux hillclimb as run from 1988 to 2007, on a smooth and winding road. The vegetation is starring in this track: lush, detailed and varied, and GrassFX is used in a nicely subtle way. Enable “Seasonal adjustments” in WeatherFX settings and set the date to mid june for optimal lighting. It’s possible to drive on beyond Chalet Reynard all the way to the top, but this section isn’t finished yet.

Vintage JCRR stage using only authentic textures. It’s an amazing stage to drive with lots of changes between narrow & wider sections and perhaps all possible combinations of slow, medium and fast corners. Enable “Seasonal adjustments” in WeatherFX settings and set the date to April 20 for best visuals, and also try driving after dark. Reverse layout will be added in a future update.

Tight and twisty stage and the road gets really narrow towards the end, above a steep canyon. A patch with some visuals improvements can be found here.

The first half of the stage is a twisting road in a wide valley, then climbs through a village before opening up into a fast 2-lane road for the second half of the stage.

This stage is an absolute joy to drive with mostly medium and fast corners. In the first half the road climbs slowly out of the village along an open mountainside before entering the more forested second half of the stage.

Winding hillside road, gently downwards sloping. This is the “Descente du Minier 2” section from the original GT Legends mod “Ronde Cevenole”. It’s a rough & ready conversion, and the grip doesn’t feel quite right.

The road connecting the towns of Peyregrosse and Mandagout through the hills of the Cévennes feels like it was made for rallying. It’s equally rewarding and unforgiving, with perhaps all possible combinations of bends to be negotiated and the memorable crossing of Saint-André-de-Majencoules.

Very tight and twisty stage along mountain cliffs, with (sticky) walls protecting you from the void. A proper challenge! The track was released in 2018 with some minor updates in 2023.

The hillclimb of “Le Mont-Dore” is a very famous event of the championship of France and Europe created in 1960. It takes place in Auvergne near Clermont-Ferrand. It is 5.1 km long. It’s an improved conversion the old track for GTL and Rfactor.

Early work from JCRR, a re-creation of the road running from the town of Lucéram up towards the col Saint Roch. Great stage to drive with quite a few hairpins, and fast and medium sections in between.
